Gugulethu Sophie Mbatha - also called Gugu - is a British stage actress and film actor. She gained fame after her role in BBC's 'Doctor Who', a British science-fiction television show. Gugu was famous for her character Tish Jones on the series by BBC. She was the daughter of the main character who was named Martha Jones. Gugu was a lively and vivacious personality, which was greatly appreciated by viewers. Gugu would be able to have a very successful career as an actor if she didn't stop! The mother of Handler was a homemaker, while her father worked as a used-car dealer. Her mother is German who immigrated to America in the United States from Germany in 1958. After ten long years of fight against breast cancer, she died in 1989. Handler grew up in a Reform Judaism family. Her father was Jewish. Handler lived in a great community with a wonderful upbringing. As a teenager Handler made the move to Los Angeles, California to pursue a career in acting. Handler began her career as an actress in order to assist her. Handler took the decision to concentrate on stand-up after she turned 21 after she realized the power of storytelling. Handler's professional career started as part of the all-female Oxygen television cast on the reality show with a hidden camera and practical humor show Girls Behaving Unsteadily. It aired between 2002 and 2005. Handler began appearing on other shows like Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler began her career as a correspondent for The Tonight Show. Handler received her first big break in the form of hosting her own E! Show in 2006. The Chelsea Handler Show. It lasted two seasons.
